On September 22, 2025, the Village of Schaumburg and UrbanStreet Group officially broke ground on The District at Veridian, a mixed-use development set to become the “downtown” core of the 90 North District. This milestone brings the vision of a walkable, connected community one step closer to reality.
Phase one of The District includes a strategically designed nine-story building with 321 residential units built above street-level retail and restaurant space. Anchoring the commercial offerings is a Fresh Market grocery store at the corner of Meacham and Algonquin Road, along with a five-story parking structure.

At the ceremony, community leaders gathered for a ceremonial beam signing and celebrated the future promise of the business, lifestyle, and entertainment hub.
Matt Frank, Economic Development Director for the Village of Schaumburg, stated, “The District at Veridian is a cornerstone investment that reflects our long-term commitment to smart growth in 90 North. It will drive business activity and strengthen Schaumburg’s regional appeal.”
With construction underway, the first phase of The District is expected to open in early 2027. The groundbreaking event represents progress toward achieving 90 North Schaumburg’s vision of a live-work-play environment.
